On January 20, Leon Wang, Executive Vice President of AstraZeneca Global and President of International Business & China, along with Joe Fong, Senior Vice President of AstraZeneca Global in charge of the Asia region, announced to employees that, effective March 1, 2022, the current General Manager of AstraZeneca Taiwan, Kenny Chen, will be appointed as the General Manager of AstraZeneca China Oncology Business Unit. He will be fully responsible for AstraZeneca's oncology business in the China market and will be based in Shanghai.

Two years later, he joined AstraZeneca as the General Manager of AstraZeneca Philippines, achieving remarkable results. In February 2019, Kangwei Chen officially assumed the position of General Manager of AstraZeneca Taiwan, China.
