On the afternoon of January 29, the Civil Affairs Bureau of Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone issued a practice registration certificate to Zhuhai Hengqin Zhenlin Comprehensive Outpatient Department Co., Ltd., a Macao wholly-owned medical institution. This institution is the first Macao wholly-owned medical institution to receive a medical institution license after the establishment of the cooperation zone’s management body. It is also the first medical institution to enter Hengqin through the CEPA agreement, which will further enrich the medical resources in Hengqin and provide more diverse, high-quality, and convenient medical services for residents of Hengqin and Macao.

Zhuhai Hengqin Zhenlin Comprehensive Outpatient Department Co., Ltd. is located within the Zhenlin Villa in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao Cooperation Industrial Park, with a total construction area of approximately 1,300 square meters. It offers medical services including internal medicine, surgery, dermatology, and sports medicine. Zhu Jianling, the relevant person in charge of the outpatient department, expressed excitement after obtaining the medical institution license, stating that it was a great honor and pleasure to receive the first medical practice certificate for a Macao enterprise established since the inception of the cooperation zone. She believes that, in the future, an increasing number of Macao’s medical professionals will establish themselves in Hengqin and serve the residents of both Hengqin and Macao by providing international-standard medical services.

Huang Yujie, Acting Director of the Civil Affairs Bureau of the Cooperation Zone, stated that the issuance of the first medical practice certificate for a wholly-owned medical institution by a Macao enterprise marks a brand-new beginning. In the future, stronger working measures will be implemented to promote the high-quality development of the healthcare industry in the Cooperation Zone, accelerate the integration with Macao's medical public services, advance the integrated development of healthcare in Hengqin and Macao, and effectively expand the quality living space for Macao residents.
