Organon Announces Return of Marvelon® and Mercilon® to China (Including Hong Kong and Macau) and Agrees to Acquire Rights for Vietnam Market

Shanghai, February 17, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- On February 16, 2022, Organon, a global leading healthcare company, announced that it has regained the rights to two combined oral contraceptive products from Bayer AG -- Marvelon.^®（Marvelon^®）and Marvelon^®（Mercilon^®，Former Product Names: Marvelon^®) In China (including Hong Kong and Macao regions) The business rights; and an agreement has been reached to acquire the business rights of the aforementioned products in the Vietnam region. Currently, the two products have returned to Organon in more than 20 other markets globally, with Organon having full ownership of the two products for production and sales as prescription oral contraceptives. By regaining the rights in the aforementioned regions, Organon will own these two products globally (excluding South Korea). Subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions in Vietnam, the acquisition plan for the Vietnamese market is expected to be completed in the first half of 2022.
