Fresenius Kabi China Appoints New CFO; AstraZeneca China Restructures Oncology Business Leadership

On February 28, Fresenius Kabi China announced a senior management change to its employees. Yang Kai, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Fresenius Kabi China, decided to leave the company on March 31, 2022, to pursue external career development opportunities.

Yang Kai joined Fresenius Kabi China in 2016 as the Chief Financial Officer. According to Dami, his successor has been confirmed, and Fresenius Kabi will announce it on a selected date.

In addition, there are new changes in AstraZeneca China's Oncology Business Unit.

AstraZeneca China announced on February 28 that Wang Jun has been appointed as Assistant Vice President of AstraZeneca China and Head of the Hematology Oncology Business Unit of the Oncology Division, effective immediately. Wang Jun will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the hematology oncology line, reporting directly to Chen Kangwei, General Manager of the Oncology Division at AstraZeneca China.

Wang Jun is currently the Assistant Vice President of AstraZeneca China and the Head of the Urology and Gynecology Business Unit of the Oncology Division. She graduated from Shaanxi University of Technology and joined AstraZeneca in January 2006.

Wang Jun once executed AstraZeneca's innovative business model for the entire Wuxi city in 2019, preparing an integrated diagnosis and treatment platform through cross-border cooperation. Afterwards, in October 2020, he began to take charge of the national market and sales for urology and gynecology under AstraZeneca China’s Oncology Business Unit.

It is reported that Wang Jun will lead the team in the new position to prepare for the approval and launch of AstraZeneca's重磅 targeted drug Calquence (acalabrutinib), and start building AstraZeneca's hematology oncology sales team.
