On February 25, Suzhou Ribo Life Science Co., Ltd. announced that Dr. Gan Liming, former Vice President of Global R&D at AstraZeneca and Head of AstraZeneca’s CVRM R&D Center, has officially joined Ribo Life Science as Global R&D President and Chief Medical Officer.
Gan Liming has led several major collaborations in AstraZeneca's nucleic acid drug field and has participated in and led the development of various non-small molecule drugs, including peptides, antibodies, ASO, cell therapy, and mRNA. In 2016, he led the world's first mRNA patient trial, making a key contribution to the subsequent explosive breakthrough of this platform technology.
Before joining Ribo Life Science, Gan Liming served as the global clinical development lead for cardiovascular, renal, and metabolic diseases at AstraZeneca.
Joining Ribo Life Science this time, Gan Liming will mainly be responsible for the company's pipeline layout, product development strategy formulation, advancement of pipeline products' research and development, and registration, among other important tasks. He will also concurrently serve as the CEO of Ribo Life Science’s first overseas (Sweden) R&D center.
