Recently, BRC Biotechnology, a leading Chinese company specializing in biologics safety testing services, has successfully completed a Series A financing round exceeding 100 million yuan. This round was led by Cenova Capital, with participation from Dalton Venture. Haoyue Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor for this round. To date, BRC Biotechnology has raised a cumulative total of over 300 million yuan in funding.
The proceeds from this round will be primarily used to expand the company's global footprint, accelerate the development of its GMP-compliant biosafety testing platform, and continuously enhance its high-quality biosafety industry infrastructure.
BRC Biotechnology specializes in providing compliance, quality, and safety testing services for biologics. The company has established over 16,000 square meters of testing service platforms, business offices, and training centers across Shanghai and Suzhou, China. These facilities comply with cGMP, GLP, and BSL-2 standards.
The GMP Testing Center in Shanghai is equipped with molecular, immunology, microbiology, virology, and cell-based testing platforms that meet GMP and international quality standards. Its core services include GMP production cell bank establishment and characterization, testing of drug substances and products, customized testing technology development, process virus clearance validation, and technical consulting for product quality compliance. The center has successfully supported domestic and international IND/BLA submissions for antibodies, vaccines, mRNA products, and cell and gene therapies.
The GLP Testing Center in Suzhou provides GLP-level virus clearance validation services and CNAS-accredited animal testing services. It also features supporting experimental platforms such as electron microscopy. The center has successfully supported over a hundred regulatory submission projects in China and globally and has passed EU GMP/GLP Qualified Person (QP) audits.
