Entering the last week of March, several pharmaceutical companies announced personnel changes.

Ping Zhao is a well-known corporate executive. It was officially confirmed today that she has resigned from her position as General Manager of Greater China at CStone Pharmaceuticals and has decided to join BinoBio, a startup pharmaceutical company, as its Chief Executive Officer.

March 28 was Zhao Ping's last working day at CStone Pharmaceuticals. It is reported that on March 28, Zhao Ping also announced this news to CStone employees in the company's WeChat group and bid farewell to everyone.

Zhao Ping is a pharmaceutical executive with a medical background. During her tenure at CStone, Zhao Ping built the commercial team and operational system from scratch, facilitated the launch of multiple new drugs, and has always maintained a good reputation among employees.

Before joining CStone Pharmaceuticals, Peggy Zhao served as the President of Allergan China and the General Manager of Bristol-Myers Squibb (China). During her tenure at Bristol-Myers Squibb, she facilitated the launch of the重磅 PD-1 product Opdivo (Nivolumab) in mainland China.

After Zhao Ping left CStone Pharmaceuticals, the commercial team is temporarily led by Chief Executive Officer Jiang Ningjun. It is reported that the successor for the General Manager position will also be announced soon, who is a familiar professional manager.

Next, let's talk about Pfizer. Recently, Pfizer announced a new structure for its oncology division. On March 28, Wang Yiqin from Pfizer China's Oncology Division announced to the employees that Zhu Nan has been appointed as the head of the gastroenterology/urology/hematology oncology therapeutic area, effective immediately.

Before joining Pfizer, Nan Chu served as the Vice President of Marketing and Medical Affairs at Junshi Biosciences, where he was responsible for the strategy of the oncology product portfolio and the internationalization strategy of innovative drugs. He has also previously held positions in the oncology divisions of multinational pharmaceutical companies such as Roche, AstraZeneca, Eli Lilly, and BD.

Since the beginning of this year, Pfizer has also attracted many well-known industry managers, such as Dingzhong Wan and Jianhui Zhang, and has brought in Meng Zhang from the internet healthcare sector to serve as the head of customer innovation.

Another local pharmaceutical company, Simcere Pharmaceutical, also announced a personnel appointment on March 28, hiring Dr. Danny Chen, former Senior Vice President of SciNeuro, as the Senior Vice President of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group. He will be responsible for advancing the company's translational science and neuroscience R&D efforts, as well as the establishment and management of the R&D team at the Beijing Innovation Center, enhancing Simcere's global R&D capabilities in the central nervous system therapeutic area.

According to Simcere Pharmaceutical, prior to joining SciNeuro, he had also served for many years at Pfizer's (U.S.) Neuroscience R&D Department as the department head. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Principal Scientist at Purdue Pharma. Throughout his career, he has led multiple clinical development projects in the field of central nervous system (CNS) diseases and has extensive experience in clinical translation, clinical development and regulatory submissions, as well as in-licensing/out-licensing assessments and fostering collaborations.

Among many well-known Chinese companies, Simcere Pharmaceutical has undergone significant corporate transformation in recent years. The company has always been highly commercialized, and now it is also making continuous efforts in innovation and R&D, focusing on three major fields: oncology, neurology, and autoimmune diseases. If this momentum can be maintained, the future is promising.
