CBC Group and Haisen BioPharma Complete Acquisition of Five Cardiovascular and Metabolic Products from Takeda in China

CBC Group and Hasten Biopharmaceuticals Co., Ltd. (China) ("Hasten") jointly announced today the completion of the acquisition of five cardiovascular and metabolic drugs from Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited.Hasten, jointly invested by CBC Group, Hefei Industrial Investment Group, and Feidong County of Hefei City, is an innovative biopharmaceutical technology enterprise.

The five drugs involved in this transaction constitute Takeda's star product portfolio in the cardiovascular and metabolic fields in China, including Adrenalin, Edarbi, Bilos, Beixin, and Actos. According to the acquisition agreement, Hasten will have exclusive proprietary rights to these drugs in China. Employees directly under Takeda Pharmaceutical’s China Internal Medicine Division responsible for these products will join Hasten. Additionally, Takeda Pharmaceutical will continue to manufacture and supply these products to Hasten.

The successful completion of this acquisition is attributed to the integrated industrial development model jointly explored and pioneered by CBC Group and the Hefei government.
