Recently, Enjosim Medical announced the successful completion of its Series A+ financing round, raising tens of millions of Chinese yuan. This round was exclusively invested by ADDOR Capital, with Haoyue Capital serving as the exclusive financial advisor. The proceeds will be used to further expand the company's global capacity system built to high-quality standards and to grow its global marketing and regulatory affairs teams.

The sustained increase in the global population of patients with obesity and diabetes, coupled with the explosive growth of GLP-1-based drugs, is creating dual opportunities for technological advancement and market expansion in the injector pen industry. Since semaglutide rapidly ignited the global market, global sales of GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs reached an estimated $51.8 billion in 2024, representing a 40% year-over-year increase with strong momentum continuing.

This drug market boom has directly spurred a surge in demand for compatible injection pens. The expected expiration of the core compound patent for semaglutide in China in 2026 is projected to rapidly open up the domestic generic drug market, significantly boosting demand for compatible injection pens.

Enjosim Medical is dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of self-administration drug delivery systems. Its product portfolio covers delivery devices for biologics such as GLP-1 analogs, insulin, and growth hormone, including disposable prefilled pens, torsion-spring pens, reusable pens, and auto-injectors. The company operates a comprehensive industrial base featuring 16,000 square meters of modern workshops and automated production lines. This facility includes a Class 100,000 clean assembly workshop, a precision injection molding workshop, and an independent mold factory, enabling a fully integrated vertical production system from product design, mold development, and precision molding to automated assembly.

The company has introduced multiple Mikron automated production lines. Upon reaching full capacity, the annual production capacity for injection pens is set for a substantial leap. This capacity layout will provide solid support for Enjosim Medical to handle large-scale orders from pharmaceutical companies in China and globally, adequately meeting the surging demand driven by the explosive growth of the GLP-1 drug market.

At the beginning of this year, Enjosim Medical focused on achieving breakthroughs through structural innovation. It developed a proprietary disposable torsion-spring injection pen featuring a unique dual-direction dose setting and callback mechanism. This product not only achieves precise control for a maximum injection dose of 80 units but has also successfully passed Freedom-To-Operate (FTO) assessments in China, the United States, and Europe, effectively circumventing patent barriers.

Concurrently, the company has successively obtained EN ISO 13485 quality management system certification and the Medical Device Single Audit Program (MDSAP) certification covering the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil, and Japan. It has also successfully secured medical device registration certificates in countries including Canada and India, laying a solid foundation for its global market expansion.

The company has already provided supporting services to dozens of major biopharmaceutical companies, with its products spanning multiple fields including GLP-1 drugs, insulin, and growth hormone. Enjosim Medical not only leads in customer coverage within China's GLP-1 sector but has also successfully expanded into multiple international markets, demonstrating significant progress in its global strategic deployment.
