Located on the third floor of the Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology Professional Education Academic Center, it is one of the significant training bases in the professional ophthalmology field under Johnson & Johnson's eye health division, Johnson & Johnson Vision. Director Zhaohui Li of the Ophthalmology Department at the General Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, Director Xudong Song of Beijing Tongren Hospital, Director Yongzhen Bao of Peking University People's Hospital, Director Xuemin Li of Peking University Third Hospital, Vice President Liping Wang of Johnson & Johnson Vision for Greater China, Australia, and New Zealand, along with other prominent guests attended the opening ceremony. They conducted an in-depth analysis of the current cataract surgery training systems for ophthalmology residents in China and abroad, and held a lively discussion on the future cataract training framework of the Johnson & Johnson Vision Academy.

Eye Health: An Important Component of National Health

Johnson & Johnson Medical Technology Professional Education Academic Center is located in Chaoyang District, Beijing. The center is equipped with 10 meeting rooms and various simulation operation areas and operating rooms in different professional fields. It hosts more than 800 conference trainings annually and is the largest single-site professional education and training center in the Asia-Pacific region. The newly completed Johnson & Johnson Vision Experience Center is located on the third floor of this academic center. The center includes three main areas: a microscopic phacoemulsification training area, an astigmatism marking training area, and a dry eye diagnosis and treatment area. It is equipped with professional ophthalmic equipment such as imported Leica microscopes, Signature Pro phacoemulsification machines, and imported slit lamps, as well as cutting-edge training devices including professional-grade educational projection screens and 98-inch touchscreens. Each year, it will provide 300 to 400 mid-career and young ophthalmologists with professional-level training scenarios and courses, including animal eye experiments, optical parameter measurements, and the diagnosis and treatment of dry eye, to enhance the cataract surgery capabilities of grassroots doctors.
