News on May 13th, Virtuleap, a VR solution provider dedicated to improving brain health, announced a collaboration with the multinational pharmaceutical company Roche to conduct a 5-month clinical trial using VR to combat dementia and Alzheimer's disease. It is reported that Virtuleap will join Roche's "Building Tomorrow" startup partnership program and expand VR brain training to the Spanish market.

Enhance-VR-scaled

According to reports from Qingting Network, Virtuleap was founded in 2018. Its main business is developing VR game applications and solutions designed to train the brain, aiming to "trick" the brain's neural system through engaging VR content. Applications include testing patients' emotions, providing cognitive rehabilitation training, and enhancing memory, balance, reaction time, and spatial awareness.

In this collaboration, Roche's partner hospitals will integrate Virtuleap's VR application "Enhance VR" with healthcare applications to provide patients with 15 VR cognitive training courses. Patients can even train and test at home, operating the service via mobile phones, tablets, or desktop computers, while medical experts can control it remotely.xrtoday
