Neurophth Biotechnology Appoints Dr. Xiaoning Guo as Chief Medical Officer

On June 1, Neurophth Biotechnology Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Neurophth") announced the appointment of Dr. Guo Xiaoning, who has extensive international clinical experience, as Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Guo will be fully responsible for the company’s global R&D from preclinical to clinical development, implement pipeline management strategies, participate in the overall strategic planning of the company, and oversee the entire process of product pipeline R&D.

Dr. Guo Xiaoning

Dr. Guo Xiaoning has over 20 years of extensive experience in drug development, including more than 10 years of multinational pharmaceutical companies and global CROs’ clinical development and portfolio management experience. Before joining Neurophth, Dr. Guo served as the Vice President of SciClone Pharmaceuticals, Head of R&D, and Chief Medical Officer, fully responsible for the development of multiple innovative drug pipelines and lifecycle management of post-marketing products. Prior to that, Dr. Guo was the Vice General Manager and Chief Medical Officer of Jiaochen Biotech, leading the clinical development and regulatory registration departments. He has held key positions such as Senior Scientist and Head of Clinical Development at AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, and Covance, leading several global new drug development projects.

Dr. Guo holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is also a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), the Chinese Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Chinese Pharmacological Society.
