"The BIOSEAL upgrade and expansion project is another significant milestone for Johnson & Johnson Medical in fulfilling its credo commitment," said Henghai Liu, Vice President of Johnson & Johnson Medical China Supply Chain. "BIOSEAL BIOTECH is an essential part of Johnson & Johnson Medical’s supply chain in China and an important business partner in the biologics surgery field. Over the years, we have actively explored the 'end-to-end' supply chain management model for BIOSEAL, committed to continuously improving clinical satisfaction and patient accessibility, thereby responding more quickly and effectively to the needs of clinicians and patients."

As one of the "single-category champions" in Guangzhou Development Zone's biopharmaceutical industry, BIOSEAL BIOTECH has independently developed a globally pioneering technology to extract fibrinogen and thrombin from mammalian blood. The BIOSEAL gel produced using this technology effectively stops bleeding and seals leaks, making it widely applicable to various surgical wounds, endoscopic surgeries, and endoscopic treatments.

With the continuous growth of clinical demand in recent years, BIOSEAL BIOTECH has announced an investment to initiate an upgrade and capacity expansion project. This project will introduce new production lines, including process equipment and supporting utility facilities. Upon commencement of operations in 2025, the overall production capacity is expected to increase by 140%, serving over one million patients annually, demonstrating BIOSEAL BIOTECH's long-term commitment to raising healthcare standards. BIOSEAL BIOTECH will subsequently formalize the "upgrade and capacity expansion project" by signing an agreement with the Investment Promotion Bureau of Guangzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

"BIOSEAL, rooted in the Greater Bay Area, focuses on the present while looking to the future, always taking high-quality development as its mission, aiming to benefit more patients in China," said Xia Feng, General Manager of BIOSEAL. "To this end, we have proposed the BIOSEAL 2030 Strategy, which is committed to building BIOSEAL into a center of excellence for biosurgery operations. Our top priority is to continuously enhance our independent innovation capabilities, establish a high-end biopharmaceutical R&D and production platform, and bring innovative medical solutions through the continuous upgrading of local manufacturing and enrichment of our product portfolio, thereby accelerating the development of the biopharmaceutical industry."
