ShanghaiJune 22, 2022PR Newswire -- After leading Sanofi Greater China for the past three and a half years, Dr. Hoenig will assume the role of Global Head of Sanofi's Digital Division starting August 1. He will be based at Sanofi's Paris headquarters, responsible for defining and implementing the digital solutions portfolio for Sanofi’s global divisions in general medicines, specialty care, and vaccines. Schwan will succeed Hoenig as President of Sanofi Greater China.

Hoen霆 has over 20 years of professional experience, ranging from holding global marketing positions to managing large-scale operations across different regions in various pharmaceutical and healthcare companies. Hoen霆 holds a Ph.D. in cardiovascular research and has worked in the non-governmental organization sector.

Hoen Teck has deep thought leadership and extensive first-line experience in the possibilities of digital health ecosystems. In his new role, he will lead the formulation and implementation of key priorities for the digital business, accelerating Sanofi's ambition to become a leading digital healthcare platform.

Starting from August 1, Shi Wang will succeed Dr. Holger Hennig as President of Sanofi Greater China and Head of General Medicines. Prior to joining Sanofi, Shi Wang worked at Organon China, a company spun off from Merck China in 2021. He successfully led the Merck-Organon spin-off project and, as President of Organon China, closely collaborated with customers, consulting firms, and universities to create a sustainable ecosystem for China's prescription drug retail business.

Shi Wang's career began in the late 1990s, during which he held several senior executive positions in international pharmaceutical companies, including General Manager of AstraZeneca Hong Kong, Head of Sales at Merck China, and Business Unit Head. Shi Wang holds a bachelor’s degree in Chinese Medicine from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis, USA.

Shi Wang's deep understanding, extensive experience, and past successes in China's pharmaceutical ecosystem will help Sanofi achieve its goal of accelerating growth in China. Based on his experience in global marketing roles in the UK, Shi Wang also has a profound understanding of the "closely integrated global and local" model. His passion, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to make bold decisions, and enthusiasm for developing talent will play a crucial role in accelerating the implementation of Sanofi’s "Win with Power" strategy.
