Bayer Collaborates Extensively with Universities Worldwide on the "Global Safe Medication Ambassador" Program

On July 1 and 8, Bayer respectively inShandong Agricultural University and Qingdao Agricultural University officially launched the Safe Medication Ambassador Program online., providing training on safe medication knowledge and techniques to over 200 college students majoring in agriculture. In addition, Bayer recognized 20 outstanding students from the 2021 project implementation and provided partner institutions with training materials, protective equipment, and promotional materials.

Through training,College Students Become Ambassadors for Safe Medication Use in This Project, will combine the school's summer social practice activities during the summer vacation, and actively spread the knowledge of safe medication use in their hometowns based on what they have learned. This aims to raise local farmers' awareness of medication use and strengthen their habits of using medication scientifically and safely, ensuring the health and safety of farmers in a more sustainable way. In addition, Bayer is expected to carry out a variety of activities, including organizing classroom training and global online seminars, as well as establishing an online communication platform for continuous engagement.Enrich AmbassadorsProfessional knowledge.

Bayer's "Safe Use Ambassador Program" was launched globally in 2017, collaborating with agricultural universities across various countries to provide students and agricultural practitioners with training on the scientific and safe use of advanced crop protection products and new technologies. By inviting the younger generation to serve as ambassadors for safe pesticide use, the program helps train local farmers in the safe use of crop protection products, disseminates knowledge on safe pesticide application, empowers farmers and agricultural communities, and supports sustainable agricultural development. The program has attracted participation from 53 institutions across 13 countries worldwide.

China officially joined Bayer's "Global Safe Medication Ambassador" program in 2018.Bayer CropScience has successively established cooperative relationships with Shandong Agricultural University and Qingdao Agricultural University to train students.287 participants, student-involved safe medication training covered six provinces, 15 cities, and over 30 agricultural counties.The project content is combined with the school's summer "Three Rural Areas" social practice activities to jointly promote progress. Under the condition that the pandemic permits, the project will also annually reward one outstanding student from each country with a visit to the headquarters of Bayer AG in Germany.
