On August 3, the 14th Health China Forum released the "Top Ten New Drugs (China)" list, and Hansoh Pharma's self-developed first China-originated oral anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) innovative drug, Hengmu (Amibufenovir Tablets), was included.

The selection process for the 14th Healthy China Forum list took more than seven months. The inclusion criteria for each list were formulated based on dimensions such as annual innovation, clinical breakthroughs, drug accessibility, and public attention.

Hengmu is the first domestically developed oral anti-hepatitis B virus (HBV) innovative drug independently researched and developed by Hansoh Pharma. It was approved for marketing in 2021 and included in the National Medical Insurance Catalog, achieving a "zero breakthrough" for domestically produced original drugs in this field and breaking the import monopoly. In the year since its launch, Hengmu has benefited more than 100,000 patients with chronic hepatitis B, significantly improving the clinical cure rate of hepatitis B in China and contributing to the academic advancement of hepatology with Chinese strength. In July 2022, the 96-week data from Hengmu's large-scale Phase III clinical study was released, once again confirming the sustained efficacy and safety of Hengmu.

Eliminating hepatitis is a belief, a commitment, and an expectation. According to statistics, there are approximately 70 million carriers of the hepatitis B virus in China, among which about 20 to 30 million are patients with chronic hepatitis B, ranking first in the world. Hepatitis B remains one of the most serious public health issues facing China.

To win the "WHO 2030 Elimination of HBV" battle and support the implementation of the "Healthy China 2030" strategy, Hansoh Pharma is continuously increasing its investment in clinical research for Hengmu. The large-scale Phase III clinical trial will be extended to ten years, helping more patients with chronic hepatitis B improve their quality of life and return to normal living.
