SyMap Medical Accelerates Development of Innovative Hypertonic Solution-Assisted RF Ablation System for Early-Stage Lung Tumors

("SyMap"), a company focused on treating major cardiovascular and respiratory diseases with disruptive innovative interventional devices, is advancing the development of its Precisely Controlled, Hypertonic Solution Assisted RF System for treating early-stage lung tumors via bronchoscopy. This system can precisely control the ablation area/volume caused by radiofrequency energy in lung tumor-affected regions and remove lesions. As an internationally pioneering solution, it addresses the significant technical challenge where poor electrical conductivity of lung tissue makes it difficult for radiofrequency to create effective and controllable ablation volumes, thereby enhancing the efficacy and safety of radiofrequency treatment for lung tumors. SyMap has made substantial contributions to this product’s development, from concept establishment/validation, prototype manufacturing/finalization, patent portfolio construction, animal experiments, clinical trial design, to the First-in-Human (FIH) study.
