ShanghaiOctober 8, 2022PR Newswire -- Haleon (English name: Haleon), one of the world's leading consumer health companies, announced that it will participate in the Fifth China International Import Expo for the first time as an independent company. Under the theme of "'Haleon' Empowering Colorful Lives," the company will exhibit at the Medical Devices and Health Care Pavilion (Hall 7.1), showcasing its renewed corporate mission and innovative solutions that empower consumers to live healthier lives every day.
In fact, Haleon is already an old friend of the CIIE. As the former consumer health business unit of the well-known pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), it participated in the CIIE for three consecutive years, exchanging and sharing opportunities with a wide range of partners in the CIIE "ecosystem." On July 18 this year, Haleon officially completed its spin-off from GSK and became an independent company fully dedicated to consumer health. Haleon's products in China cover five major categories: nutritional health, oral health, pain management, respiratory health, and skin health. It owns many trusted consumer health brands recommended by consumers and experts, including Caltrate, Centrum, Sensodyne, Panadol, Voltaren, Contac, Bactroban, Flixonase, and Polident.
"This year marks the fifth anniversary of the CIIE. As a regular participant, we have truly experienced the far-reaching 'spillover effects' of the CIIE. Thanks to the unique platform provided by the annual CIIE for multinational companies in China, we have introduced many self-health management products and tools to Chinese consumers," said Gu Haiying, General Manager of Haleon Mainland China and Hong Kong. "As the Chinese people are paying more attention to self-health management and the demand for new health consumption continues to grow, we are delighted to use the CIIE platform to communicate new concepts of self-health management with Chinese consumers. We will showcase our innovative products and solutions that cover the entire life cycle, embodying consumer insights and scientific research capabilities, to help more Chinese consumers achieve healthier and happier lives every day."
Haleon Will Debut Multiple Products in China at This CIIE, Including the First Patch Product "Voltaren Elastic Diclofenac Sodium Patch" to be Launched in China. They will also showcase various health self-assessment tools, such as Centrum's "Rainbow Nutrition Self-test," Caltrate's "Five-dimensional Mobility Magic Mirror Test," and Voltaren's "Smart Posture Detection." These will use fun interactive experiences to guide and enhance consumer health awareness. Sensodyne and Polident will provide corresponding teeth-caring tips and professional solutions based on life’s growth trajectory.
The Outline of the "Healthy China 2030" Plan proposes to focus on the entire population and the entire life cycle to provide equitable, accessible, systematic, and continuous health services, achieving a higher level of overall public health. In line with the company's mission of "Putting People First, Enhancing Daily Health," Haleon will also showcase its latest achievements in sustainable development, promoting health accessibility and equity at this year’s CIIE.
As Haleon makes its debut at the CIIE as an independent company, it is both a "new face" at the CIIE and a "long-time friend" who has participated in the event for three consecutive years. The newly launched Haleon will fully leverage its "three-in-one" advantage in China: "strong scientific research capabilities," "deep understanding of human health," and "digital capabilities." Haleon aims to bring more innovative solutions to Chinese consumers to enhance their daily health management. Additionally, Haleon will continue to collaborate and exchange ideas with both new and old friends within the CIIE "ecosystem" to share more opportunities.
