Four Stars Glass secures hundreds of millions in Pre-IPO funding to fuel pharmaceutical packaging milestone

Recently, Cangzhou Four Stars Glass Co., Ltd. ("Four Stars Glass"), a leading Chinese manufacturer of pharmaceutical borosilicate glass, announced the completion of a Pre-IPO financing round amounting to hundreds of millions of RMB.

This round was jointly led by CICC Zhongxin Emerging Industry Fund (under CICC Capital) and Chunguang Qixiang Fund. The transaction represents one of the largest single financings in recent years within the upstream biopharmaceutical industry. WinX Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor.

This funding round signifies an acceleration in the domestic substitution process for high-end drug delivery systems, specifically Type I hydrolytic resistance borosilicate glass and pre-filled syringe devices in China.

Four Stars Glass is the only high-tech enterprise globally utilizing an innovative all-electric melting process to produce neutral borosilicate glass tubes. Its proprietary technological pathway leads the international industry by an estimated 20 years, offering distinct environmental advantages such as being green, eco-friendly, energy-saving, and achieving zero emissions.
