Bayer South China Women's Health Treatment Field Undergoes Personnel and Organizational Changes.
Recently, media reports revealed that Bayer's Southern China Women's Health Division will establish a Shenzhen Greater Region, responsible for product promotion in the Shenzhen market and parts of Eastern Guangdong.
Bayer stated that this move is to further implement the TNN strategy for prescription drugs in China, maximize support for the rapid growth in the field of women's health treatment, and is based on considerations of product line strategy and regional layout.
Generally, organizational restructuring will inevitably lead to corresponding personnel changes.
It is reported that Luo Jiang, the current Senior Regional Manager of Guangzhou Team 3 in the South China-Guangdong-Guangxi region for Women's Health Treatment, will be promoted to Regional Manager of Shenzhen Region in the South China area for Women's Health Treatment, reporting directly to Xiao Lu, Director of Women's Health Treatment in South China.
Now, Shenzhen Group 1, Shenzhen Group 2, and Guangzhou Group 4 in the field of women's health treatment in South China will be integrated into the Shenzhen Greater Regional structure, and the respective managers will report to Luo Jiang, the Greater Regional Manager of Shenzhen.
Li Zhao, Senior Regional Promotion Manager of Yuegui Region, will simultaneously support the related business operations of both Yuegui Region and Shenzhen Region, while the reporting line remains unchanged.
The remaining teams and reporting lines in the Guangdong-Guangxi region will remain unchanged, reporting to Wei Zhiyun, Senior Regional Manager of the Guangdong-Guangxi region.
The above changes will take effect on November 1, 2022.
Notably, in May this year, Bayer China announced a new structural adjustment: the establishment of an Oncology Business Unit, and the merger of the Cardiovascular and Diabetes units, which were renamed as the Metabolic Treatment Area. The changes took effect on June 1, 2022.
Currently, China has become one of the most important pillars of Bayer's global business, ranking as the largest market for the prescription pharmaceuticals division and the second largest market for the consumer health division globally.
For Bayer China, the transformation includes not only changes in the business model, such as accelerating the launch of new products and promoting digitalization, but also adjustments in organizational structure, speeding up decision-making, and repositioning newly launched products among existing teams across different therapeutic areas.
