28% of Multiple Myeloma Patients Experience Relapse: Interim Findings from the 'Report on PRO Status and Quality of Life Among Chinese Multiple Myeloma Patients' Released

Multiple myeloma is a malignant plasma cell disorder and the second most common hematologic malignancy, accounting for approximately10%In recent years, thanks to the innovation and clinical application of drugs as well as the overall improvement in medical standards, multiple myeloma has gradually transitioned into“Chronic Disease”, the average survival of patients has increased to nearly10Year. While continuously optimizing and upgrading treatment protocols, the treatment goals for multiple myeloma are also shifting, with a growing focus on patients' quality of life becoming a new clinical trend.

The best drug or regimen for the continuous treatment of multiple myeloma should ensure efficacy while being convenient to administer, with good safety, thereby ensuring optimal compliance and tolerance.PROAs an important method to capture patients' quality of life and symptom burden, comprehensive outcomes cover multiple dimensions from symptoms, adverse events to compliance, which can more comprehensively reflect the quality of life of patients. Existing evidence shows,PROCan provide a standardized method to measure the quality of life (Quality of Life, QOL） And symptom burden, enhance clinicians' understanding of patients' health conditions, thereby comprehensively improving patient care.
