The first professional technology service project "Nutrition Literacy Improvement Program" has officially started. This program, hosted by the China Health Promotion and Education Association, with technical support from the "SciTech China" Intelligent Health Professional Technology Service Group and participation from Bayer HealthCare Consumer Products, is a national public welfare project aimed at promoting nutrition literacy among Chinese citizens and supporting Healthy China.
It is reported that the "Nutrition Literacy Improvement Program" will be carried out in two phases. The first phase will focus on clinical doctors in first-tier cities and revolve around the theme of "Common Nutrients and Immunity Enhancement" to conduct surveys, thereby understanding clinical doctors' awareness of nutrients and immunity. After the questionnaires are collected, a survey report will be generated. Meanwhile, the Peking University "SciTech Innovation in China" Intelligent Health Professional Technology Service Group will carry out scientific evidence collection on common nutrients and immunity and form a scientific review accordingly. At that time, the two reports will be released together to the public. In the future, the project will also rely on the "National Nutrition Literacy Assessment Tool" to evaluate the nutrition literacy of various groups, thereby carrying out targeted, multi-channel public health science communication and promotion activities.
Based on the successful cooperation between Bayer and Jiangnan University in the field of gastrointestinal health over the past two years, the two parties signed a strategic cooperation agreement again at this year's CIIE to expand the breadth and depth of their existing partnership. They will jointly establish the "Probiotics Science Innovation Lab," fully leveraging their respective strengths. Based on consumer insights, they will jointly develop new functions of probiotics, aiming to explore solutions for healthy food from probiotics to meet the unmet needs of Chinese consumers for health products and services. In the future, the cooperation between Bayer and Jiangnan University will not be limited to gut health but will also extend to multiple fields such as immune regulation, allergy management, and prevention.
