Abbott Laboratories Debuts the World’s Smallest "Heart Repair" Device – Amplatzer Piccolo Occluder for Patent Ductus Arteriosus. This is currently the world's only device approved by the U.S. FDA for use in extremely low birth weight premature infants (aged over 3 days and weighing more than 700g) with patent ductus arteriosus, providing a safe and effective treatment option for newborns and premature infants with congenital heart disease. This Abbott Amplatzer Piccolo™ Occluder for Patent Ductus Arteriosus, showcased for the first time in China at the third CIIE, marks its official debut in China.
Abbott has also introduced the "first-ever in Asia" Aveir™ VR Single-Chamber Leadless Pacemaker* for the treatment of bradycardia. Johnson & Johnson is one of the largest exhibitors in the Medical Equipment and Healthcare Products Exhibition Area (Hall 7.2) at the CIIE, and it is also the only exhibitor in the area showcasing comprehensive healthcare solutions covering the entire life cycle.Johnson & Johnson showcased nearly 200 innovative products from its three major businesses: medical technology, pharmaceuticals, and consumer health. On November 6, during the CIIE, Johnson & Johnson Medical Technologies unveiled its new hemostatic product, SURGICEL® (Surgicel) Agglomerated Particles, making its debut at the CIIE and officially launching in the market. It is reported that this product was approved in August this year through China's innovative medical device green channel.

At last year's CIIE, Stryker's intelligent joint robot Mako made its debut and gained widespread attention. As of October 2022, the Mako intelligent robot has been widely recognized and applied clinically, with the number of surgeries across China successfully surpassing 6,000 in a short period.
