According to Sinopharm Group, on November 30, Sinopharm Group officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Novartis China. According to the agreement, starting from January 1, 2023, Sinopharm Group officially obtained the commercial promotion rights for Gleevec® (Imatinib) and Exjade® (Deferasirox Dispersible Tablets) in the Chinese market.

Gleevec® (Imatinib) is mainly used for the treatment of chronic myeloid leukemia and gastrointestinal stromal tumors. Exjade® (Deferasirox Dispersible Tablets) is used for patients with iron overload caused by the need for long-term blood transfusions (such as those suffering from thalassemia or other rare types of anemia), and is suitable for children over two years old and adults.
