This year, there are Azvudine Tablets, and the combination package of Nirmatrelvir Tablets/Ritonavir Tablets.(hereinafter referred to as "Paxlovid")Three COVID-19 treatment drugs, including Qingfei Paidu Granules, participated in the negotiation through procedures such as independent application by enterprises, formal review, and expert evaluation.Azvudine Tablets and Qingfei Paidu Granules successfully negotiated, Paxlovid failed due to high bid by its manufacturer, Pfizer, Inc.
The official indicated that although Paxlovid failed to be included in the medical insurance catalog through negotiation, according to the recent "Notice on Optimizing the Medical Insurance Policies for Treatment Expenses of Patients Infected with COVID-19 after Implementing 'Category B Management'" jointly issued by the National Healthcare Security Administration and other relevant departments,(hereinafter referred to as the "Notice")Request, "Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Infection(Trial Tenth Edition)》All therapeutic drugs inIncluding Paxlovid, Azvudine Tablets, Molnupiravir Capsules, and Sanhan Huashi Granules, all will be temporarily covered by medical insurance until March 31, 2023. During this period, insured patients infected with the coronavirus can enjoy medical insurance reimbursement policies when using these drugs.
In addition, after Azvudine Tablets and Qingfei Paidu Granules were included in the national medical insurance drug list through this negotiation, there are already more than 600 drugs in the national medical insurance drug list for treating COVID-19 symptoms such as fever and cough. At the same time, to meet the needs of treating coronavirus-infected patients across regions, local medical insurance departments, in combination with the operational status of local medical insurance funds, have temporarily incorporated a group of drugs for symptomatic COVID-19 treatment into the medical insurance payment scope of their respective regions.
