Only half a year after the previous round of financing, MIGERSI recently completed a Pre-A round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan. This round was led by Guangxi Nanwan Baiao Phase I Venture Capital Partnership (Limited Partnership), with Chongqing Medical University Fund participating, and the angel round investor Northern Light Venture Capital continuing to increase its investment.
It is reported that the proceeds from this round of financing will be used for product clinical trials, further team building, and the comprehensive advancement of the R&D pipeline.
MIGERSI was founded in March 2021. It is an innovative medical device company focusing on minimally invasive ophthalmology, originating from the technology of active cationic polymer biomaterials. The founder, Li Jiwei, has a background in materials science from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and more than ten years of experience in market sales and investment mergers and acquisitions in foreign enterprises and China's Growth Enterprise Market listed companies. Members of the co-founding team also have many years of accumulation in the field of minimally invasive ophthalmology, covering clinical medicine, materials science, product development registration, and technical development.
Since its establishment, MIGERSI has developed two major business directions: a materials technology platform and the research and development of ophthalmic minimally invasive devices, forming a preliminary structure in the in-depth development of its technical lines.
Currently, the first product layout of MIGERSI is a minimally invasive glaucoma surgical instrument. In addition, the ICL lens is also one of its key focuses.
