Recommend seeing a doctor for rapid heartbeat during COVID-19 recovery

What is the safe range for heart rate? Under what circumstances should medical attention be sought promptly? Zhou Yujie, Executive Vice President of Beijing Anzhen Hospital, stated that for every 1℃ increase in body temperature during a fever, the heart rate will increase by 10-12 beats. It is normal for the heart rate to quicken during a fever. If palpitations, shortness of breath, or wheezing occur alongside a rapid heartbeat, medical attention should be sought at a hospital promptly.

If palpitations occur without fever, and tests reveal normal myocardial enzymes and electrocardiogram but heightened sympathetic nerve activity, recovery may be gradual. However, if you are in the recovery phase of COVID-19 with a heart rate exceeding 100 beats per minute, along with symptoms such as palpitations, shortness of breath, and chest tightness, it is essential to promptly undergo examinations for myocardial enzymes, electrocardiogram, and cardiac function.

Pre-made dishes can be paired with some fresh vegetables.

How to Eat "Pre-made Dishes," the New Favorite for Lunar New Year's Eve Dinner, in a More Nutritious Way? The Nutrition and Health Institute of China CDC introduces that, limited by processing, transportation, and storage, most pre-made dish products on the market are "meat-heavy and vegetable-light," commonly having issues such as high energy density, high fat content, high salt content, and low vitamin content.

When consuming pre-made dishes, the following methods can be adopted: add some fresh vegetables during secondary processing. For instance, when cooking pre-made beef dishes, ingredients like potatoes or carrots can be added; or for pre-made roasted fish dishes, leafy greens can be included during preparation. For dishes that are high in oil and salt, use fewer seasoning packets while cooking, and before eating, rinse the dish with clean water to reduce fat and sodium intake.

Sanofi's Tri-specific Antibody Approved for Clinical Trials in China

The Center for Drug Evaluation (CDE) of the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced on its official website that SAR443216 Injection, submitted by Sanofi, has obtained tacit approval for clinical trials. It is proposed to be developed for the treatment of relapsed/refractory HER2-expressing solid tumors.

SAR443216 is a HER2/CD3/CD28 trispecific T-cell engager being developed by Sanofi, currently in Phase 1 clinical trials overseas. It has the potential to offer a new treatment option for patients with HER2-expressing solid tumors, including HER2-low expressing solid tumors. Sanofi is conducting Phase 1 dose-escalation and expansion clinical studies of SAR443216 overseas in patients with HER2-expressing solid tumors, evaluating the preliminary efficacy and safety of both subcutaneous and intravenous formulations across various tumor types. Indications include breast cancer, lung cancer, gastric cancer, and more.

Staying well-hydrated can slow down the aging process.

eBioMedicine published a study indicating that staying well-hydrated can slow down the aging process, reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart and lung conditions, and lead to a longer healthy lifespan.

The study used serum sodium as a representative of hydration habits and found that the population with the lowest mortality had a serum sodium concentration of 137-142 mmol/l, while those with a serum sodium concentration of 138-140 mmol/l had the lowest risk of chronic diseases. Compared to participants with a serum sodium concentration of 137-142 mmol/l, participants with a serum sodium concentration exceeding 142 mmol/l had a 10%-15% higher chance of having a biological age greater than their chronological age. For participants with serum sodium exceeding 144 mmol/l, the likelihood of having a biological age greater than their chronological age was about 50% higher. These results suggest that for individuals with serum sodium levels above 142 mmol/l, maintaining optimal hydration may slow down the aging process.
