Sanofi Reports Q4 2022 Revenue Up 7.3% Year-Over-Year and Net Profit Surges 29.1%

Intelligent Finance APP learned that Sanofi S.A. (SNY.US) announced its Q4 2022 financial results. The data showed that the company's net sales in Q4 were €10.725 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.3%, or 2.6% at constant exchange rates (CER), falling short of market expectations; net profit was €1.460 billion, a year-on-year increase of 29.1%; adjusted earnings per share were €1.71, a year-on-year increase of 23.9%, in line with expectations.

Among them, the sales of professional care business were 4.414 billion euros, increasing by 18.1% in CER, mainly driven by the 42.1% increase in sales of anti-inflammatory drug Dupixent to 2.402 billion euros.

Sales of ordinary drugs amounted to 3.379 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 3.7% at CER;

Vaccine sales were 1.716 billion euros, a year-on-year decrease of 16.3% at CER, of which influenza vaccine sales were 802 million euros, a year-on-year decrease of 32.0% at CER.

Sales of the Consumer Healthcare business were €1.216 billion, a 6.6% increase year-over-year on a CER basis.

Sanofi expects low single-digit growth in adjusted earnings per share (EPS) at constant exchange rates (CER) for 2023. Based on the average exchange rate in January 2023, the estimated impact of exchange rate fluctuations on 2023 EPS is between -3.5% and -4.5%.
