AstraZeneca stated on February 9 local time during its earnings presentation that it expects total revenue in 2023, including COVID-19 drugs, to grow in the low to mid-single digits. In terms of late-stage R&D pipeline, AstraZeneca plans to initiate 30 new Phase III trials in 2023, involving 10 potential blockbuster drugs. The company also stated its goal to have at least 15 New Molecular Entities (NMEs) approved by 2030. In 2022, AstraZeneca’s total revenue increased by 25% year-over-year to $44.4 billion, with core earnings per share rising 33% to $6.66.
