Reprogenix Bioscience recently completed a 500 million Series A+ financing round. This round attracted investment from multiple prominent institutions including CRHC Fund, Yuanbio Venture Capital, Fu Zhe Capital, Sinowisdom, Orient Renaissance Capital, Lotus Lake Capital, Yuhang State-Owned Capital Investment, GAGE Capital, and Beicheng Fund. This represents a strong renewed vote of confidence from the capital markets, following the company's completion of its Series A round last year.

The proceeds from this financing round will be primarily allocated across four key areas: accelerating the clinical advancement of core therapeutic pipelines; strengthening the development of an innovative AI-powered virtual cell technology platform for pancreatic islet differentiation; upgrading digitalized, intelligent, and automated cell therapy manufacturing systems; and advancing the global expansion of its products and technologies to accelerate overseas market entry.

Founded in 2014, Reprogenix Bioscience was established with the vision of becoming a globally leading, innovation-driven technology enterprise through proprietary R&D. Over the past decade, the company has been strongly supported by governments and relevant departments at the provincial, municipal, and district levels in Zhejiang. With original scientific research as its core driver, Reprogenix has built an integrated technological system spanning from cell reprogramming to functional tissue transplantation, encompassing end-to-end capabilities in basic research, cell line establishment, directed differentiation, quality control, and clinical validation.

This integrated technology system is supported by three core proprietary technologies: Chemically Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell (CiPSC) reprogramming, directed differentiation, and rectus sheath transplantation. The synergistic combination of these three technologies provides Reprogenix with systematic advantages in standardized cell drug manufacturing, scalable production, and clinical translation.

Building on these internationally leading proprietary technologies, Reprogenix has further developed an AI-powered virtual cell platform. This platform enables intelligent differentiation pathway design and quality control optimization, significantly enhancing R&D efficiency and production controllability. It provides robust support for advancing regenerative medicine innovations toward efficient and precise industrialization.

Regarding product pipeline development, Reprogenix has established a strategic framework centered on diabetes treatment while expanding into other major disease areas. The company has currently deployed multiple product pipelines for diabetes, covering both type 1 and type 2 diabetes as core indications. Among these, the primary product for type 1 diabetes, RGB-5088, has received approval to enter Phase I clinical trials, positioning it at the forefront of development in China. Meanwhile, the clinical trial application for the pipeline targeting type 2 diabetes has been accepted by the NMPA and is expected to soon enter the clinical study phase.

In terms of production capacity development, Reprogenix has established a 6,000-square-meter R&D and production facility compliant with GMP standards, covering critical steps including cell line establishment, directed differentiation, and quality testing. This enables the standardization of core technologies and efficient industrial translation. Simultaneously, a 20,000-square-meter future R&D and production base in Pingyao, Hangzhou is accelerating its construction. This facility will establish a standardized production system for clinical applications, fully integrating technologies such as digital management, intelligent quality control, and AI-assisted screening. Combined with a 24/7 "lights-out factory" operational model, the base will achieve high-throughput and predictable production of functional cells, further enhancing efficiency and production controllability.

In the future, while consolidating its leading position in the diabetes field, Reprogenix will actively explore the application potential of CiPSC technology in other major diseases.
