Baiyang Medicine and Novartis China Forge Strategic Partnership to Advance Commercialization of Oncology Drug

China Securities News (reported by Zhang Pengfei) -- Baheal Medical announced on February 26 that it had recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Novartis Innovative Drugs China ("Novartis China"). The two parties will engage in in-depth cooperation regarding the commercial operation in the Chinese market of Novartis' first-line targeted therapy drug for advanced renal cell carcinoma, Votrient (Pazopanib Tablets).

According to reports, Votrient, as a new generation of tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI), is mainly used for first-line treatment of patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma and for patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma who have previously received cytokine therapy. It has the best single-agent objective response rate (ORR). Since its approval and market launch, Votrient has been marketed in more than 100 countries and regions worldwide and has been recommended by many authoritative guidelines both domestically and internationally. Votrient was officially approved for marketing in China in 2017 and entered the National Reimbursement Drug List in 2021, reducing the treatment burden for Chinese patients with advanced kidney cancer.
