Shanghai, China, February 28, 2023 – Oricell Therapeutics Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as “Oricell Therapeutics”), a China-based company dedicated to the development of innovative immuno-oncology therapies, announced that it has recently completed a US$45 million Series B1 financing round following a US$125 million Series B financing in July 2022. The proceeds will primarily be used to support the clinical development of its core products in international markets. This round of financing was jointly led by RTW Investments, a globally renowned industry investor, and QIA (Qatar Investment Authority), with continued investment from existing shareholders such as Qiming Venture Partners and C&D Emerging Investment.

After eight years of accumulation and沉淀, Qrigincell Therapeutics' self-developed CAR-T technology platform and its core products have gained further clinical validation. Following the debut of the company's first core product, Ori-C101, on the international stage at the 2021 ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology) Annual Meeting, the company’s exposure in the global new drug market continued to increase in 2022 and 2023, drawing extensive attention from global investors. Despite city-wide lockdowns due to the pandemic in 2022, the team overcame numerous challenges and worked tirelessly to achieve all anticipated milestones.
In addition to Ori-C101 receiving approval from China's NMPA to initiate registration clinical trials, in June 2022, the company delivered oral presentations on its OriCAR-017 therapy at the 2022 ASCO Annual Meeting and the 2022 EHA (European Hematology Association) Annual Meeting. In October of the same year, OriCAR-017 was granted "ODD" (Orphan Drug Designation) by the U.S. FDA. By the end of January 2023, the clinical follow-up data of OriCAR-017 was published in the internationally renowned clinical medical journal, *The Lancet Haematology*.
