Intelligent Finance APP, Gaush Meditech (02407) announced that the group had previously entered into certain licensing agreements with SBM Sistemi S.r.l. (SBM Company), a company established in Italy, concerning the localization of two dry eye diagnostic devices in China. According to these licensing agreements, starting from March 1, 2023, the group has been granted exclusive rights to use and leverage certain diagnostic technologies of SBM Company in mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macao, as well as to design, manufacture, assemble, and sell two diagnostic devices of SBM Company, namely Gaush iDea and OS1000 Topographer. These licensing agreements are valid for five years, taking effect from the completion of the registration process for local production of the relevant diagnostic devices.

The directors believe that the cooperation with SBM SISTEMI S.R.L represents an important milestone in the company's strategy to localize the production of ophthalmic equipment in China. The collaboration with SBM SISTEMI S.R.L reflects the trust from upstream suppliers in the company and acknowledges its reputation in China's ophthalmology industry. The directors believe that the company is capable of addressing and resolving market issues together with long-term partners, while progressively strengthening in-depth cooperation for shared growth.
