According to Reuters, Sebastian Guth, President of Bayer's pharmaceuticals division in the Americas, said on March 8 that Bayer plans to invest $1 billion in drug research and development in the United States this year, with the aim of doubling its sales in the U.S. by the end of this decade.
Guth also said that the company has increased its U.S. workforce engaged in pharmaceutical business marketing by about 50% over the past three years and plans to increase it by another 75% by 2030.
