Danaher Participates in CIMDR for the Fourth Time, Showcasing Localized Innovations and Commitment to Scientific Regulation

Noreen Galvin, Danaher's Global Vice President of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, and Chen Xiaosui, Beckman Coulter’s Global Vice President and General Manager for China, delivered keynote speeches at the opening ceremony. Representatives from Danaher shared insights and hosted sessions across five popular parallel forums: IVD, clinical evaluation of medical devices, standards and classification of medical devices and UDI implementation, artificial intelligence, and medical device R&D.

Centering on the theme of "Improving the Innovation System, Advancing Scientific Regulation, and Protecting and Promoting Public Health," representatives from medical device regulatory agencies, association members, and industry experts from China and abroad shared new measures, developments, and achievements in device regulations and oversight through both online and offline formats. CIMDR has become one of the most important annual events in the global medical device field, drawing widespread attention from peers worldwide.

At the parallel forum -- Medical Device Leaders Conference (MD50), Chen Xiaosui, Chief Medical Officer of Danaher China, Yicai Tang, and industry leaders from the world's most innovative and influential medical device companies, investment institutions, and regulatory bodies jointly discussed "Strategic Directions and Expansion Strategies for the Diagnostics and Life Sciences Sector."

This year marks Danaher's fourth participation in CIMDR. The Danaher booth, themed around its localization strategy -- "Creating and Elevating China," showcased localized innovative achievements from several of its subsidiary companies, including Beckman Coulter Medical Diagnostics, Cepheid Molecular Diagnostics, Leica Biosystems, Mammotome, Beckman Coulter Life Sciences, and Leica Microsystems. These exhibits demonstrated the company’s firm confidence and actions in investing in the Chinese market.
