Beijing, Shanghai, and BostonMarch 22, 2023 /PR Newswire/ --Jacobio Pharmaceuticals (1167.HK) announced a clinical collaboration with MSD (MSD is the corporate name of Merck & Co., Inc. in Kenilworth, NJ, USA) to evaluate Jacobio's CD73 monoclonal antibody JAB-BX102 in combination with MSD's PD-1 inhibitor KEYTRUDA.®(Pembrolizumab) Combination Therapy Effect.
This clinical study will be used to evaluate JAB-BX102 with KEYTRUDA®Clinical efficacy in combination for advanced solid tumors. Under the terms of the agreement, MSD will provide KEYTRUDA.®。
Jacobio Chairman and CEO Dr. Yinxiang Wang pointed out:"CD73 is Jacobio's first large molecule project to enter the clinical stage. As a key target in the tumor immunotherapy pathway, we believe that combining CD73 with PD-1 inhibitors, which are also part of the tumor immunotherapy pathway, has the potential to alleviate immune suppression in the tumor microenvironment, stimulate the proliferation and activation of cytotoxic immune cells, and enhance anti-tumor immunity. We look forward to exploring the potential utility of CD73 monoclonal antibodies in combination with anti-PD-1 in cancer immunotherapy through this collaboration with MSD, and we hope to bring new treatment options to patients.

About JAB-BX102
JAB-BX102 is a CD73 humanized monoclonal antibody independently developed by Jacobio. It received the Investigational New Drug (IND) approval from the U.S. FDA in October 2021 and from China's CDE in March 2022. Jacobio has currently launched a Phase I/IIa, multi-center, open-label study in China and the United States to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and preliminary anti-tumor efficacy of JAB-BX102 as a monotherapy and in combination with pembrolizumab for advanced solid tumors. The currently available clinical data indicate that the combination of a CD73 antibody with a PD-(L)1 antibody significantly extends the survival of patients with non-small cell lung cancer.
