C-MER Eye Care (03309) Reports Annual Results with Shareholder Loss of HK$21.875 Million, Swings from Profit to Loss Year-on-Year

C-MER Medical (03309) announced its 2022 annual results: revenue was approximately HKD 172 million, representing a year-on-year increase of 55.7%; the loss attributable to shareholders was HKD 21.875 million, compared to a profit of HKD 21.861 million in 2021; basic loss per share was 1.77 Hong Kong cents.

It is reported that the change from profit to loss was mainly due to the adverse impact of COVID-19 and the loss incurred in the mainland China business, which was partially offset by the profit generated from the sales of medical consumables in Hong Kong, China, and the increased share of profits from an associated company engaged in medical laboratory services in Hong Kong.
