Recently, OxTium announced the completion of a Pre-A+ funding round amounting to tens of millions of RMB, with investment from Nanshan SEI Investment. Nanshan SEI Investment is a strategic direct investment platform in Shenzhen's Nanshan District, focusing on strategic emerging industries and future-oriented sectors. Prior to this round, OxTium had received tens of millions of RMB in special funding support from the Shenzhen High-Level Talent Program.

As a pioneering AI for Science company, OxTium has gained successive support from multiple investment institutions within months. Sequoia Seed Fund and CDF Capital led the Angel+ and Pre-A rounds, respectively. OxTium has raised nearly RMB 100 million in cumulative funding to date.

Currently, AI companies and industrial demand-side players are jointly fostering an ecosystem of "Foundation Models + AI Tools + Industry-Specific Solutions," within which OxTium emerged as a key player.

At the core model level, OxTium has developed its proprietary cutting-edge large language model for biological sciences, GeneLLM, recognized as one of China's first expert-level large models specialized in the life sciences domain. To advance AI-driven transformation in life sciences, the company has built a comprehensive suite of AI platforms and services, including the all-in-one biological research platform BioFord™ and the intelligent agent system BioFord Agent™. These solutions find broad applications across fundamental research, medical diagnostics, biomanufacturing, bio-breeding, and environmental monitoring, and have already been adopted by leading AI companies, pharmaceutical firms, and academic institutions.

China's AI for Science sector remains on the cusp of explosive growth, with vast potential and a ceiling for innovation yet to be reached. Against this backdrop, OxTium has emerged as a highly regarded player in the market, backed by its solid foundation and a technically outstanding team. The core members of the founding team are all Oxford University alumni, possessing interdisciplinary expertise in both life sciences and artificial intelligence. They have collectively published over 60 papers in top-tier journals, including Nature, demonstrating profound technical prowess.

With the industry poised for take-off, early strategic positioning promises greater value potential and higher return expectations. As AI for Science stands to reshape numerous industrial and agricultural landscapes and unleash significant transformative energy, repeated capital injections into front-runners like OxTium resemble acquiring a ticket to the future—accelerating market entry in anticipation of the coming surge.
