Abogen Biosciences Appoints Song Wenjie as Chief Medical Officer

On May 19, Abogen announced on its official WeChat account that Ms. Wenjie Song has been appointed as Chief Medical Officer, reporting to Dr. Bo Ying, Founder, Chairman, and CEO. Wenjie Song will lead the clinical team comprehensively, overseeing medical affairs, clinical trials, and team-building management. She will be responsible for new drug clinical research, medical affairs, and assisting the company in the strategic development of pharmaceutical projects. Prior to joining Abogen, Wenjie Song served as Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at Simcere Pharmaceutical, Vice President of Clinical Development at CStone Pharmaceuticals, Global Project Leader at Novartis Oncology Translational Center, Project Leader at Johnson & Johnson Asia-Pacific R&D Center, and Clinical Medical Director at AstraZeneca. Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, she worked as an obstetrician-gynecologist at Shanghai East Hospital.
