According to CNN, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is collaborating with Chinese pharmaceutical manufacturer Qilu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to import the anticancer drug cisplatin, aiming to increase supply amid an ongoing shortage.

According to data from the National Cancer Institute, 10% to 20% of cancer patients require the use of cisplatin and other platinum-based drugs. The cure rate for testicular cancer using cisplatin exceeds 90%.
