Gelonghui June 15th :: According to Fierce Biotech, Amgen (AMGN.US) has hired Moderna's (MRNA.US) Chief Medical Officer Paul Burton as its new Chief Medical Officer. Burton will replace Darryl Sleep, Amgen's Senior Vice President of Global Medical Affairs, who has been serving as the interim CMO. After Burton assumes the position, Sleep will continue to serve as the head of global medical affairs. Burton joined Moderna in July 2021 as CMO. Prior to that, he worked at Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.US) for 16 years, holding various positions, including Chief Global Medical Affairs Officer of the Janssen division. Before joining Johnson & Johnson, he served as the global development lead at Amgen.
