Intelligent Finance APP learned that Sanofi (SNY.US) stated that the company's drug amlitelimab, used to treat various inflammations, achieved the primary endpoint in a Phase 2b study involving adults with moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (patients whose conditions could not be adequately controlled by topical medications or for whom topical treatments were not recommended). In this study, amlitelimab demonstrated statistically significant improvements in the signs and symptoms of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis. Amlitelimab was well-tolerated across all dose groups, with no new safety issues identified.

The detailed efficacy and safety results of the trial will be announced at future scientific forums. The company stated that it looks forward to advancing a larger-scale Phase 3 clinical development program.
