Bedaquiline Fumarate Tablets Receive NMPA Approval for Pediatric MDR-TB Treatment in China

On July 20, Janssen China announced that its innovative drug, Bedaquiline Fumarate Tablets (brand name: Sirturo), received approval from the National Medical Products Administration to be used as part of combination therapy for the treatment of multidrug-resistant tuberculosis in adolescents aged 12 to <18 years and weighing ≥30kg. Bedaquiline Fumarate Tablets are a novel tuberculosis drug with a completely new mechanism of action.
