This strong presence underscores their long-term dedication to the Chinese market and showcases the groundbreaking innovations shaping the future of healthcare.

1. With Nearly 50 Products and Solutions, Philips Spotlights AI-Driven Future of Health at 8th CIIE

As a global health technology leader attending its eighth CIIE, Philips presented under the theme "Innovation with Purpose, Caring for All," showcasing nearly 50 innovative products and solutions. These included ten China-debut products and over ten AI-enabled solutions. Centered around the "Full Journey of Health Care," the exhibition highlighted Philips' achievements in AI-powered imaging diagnosis, smart interventional navigation, and personal health management, demonstrating its commitment to deeply integrating AI into assisted diagnosis, workflow optimization, and reducing clinical workload.

Philips has established five innovation centers and five manufacturing bases in China, with over 95% of its products now developed and manufactured locally. The company dedicates nearly half of its approximately €1.7 billion annual R&D investment to AI and data science, actively releases the China edition of its Future Health Index 2025 Report, and collaborates with Chinese partners to drive the digital transformation of the healthcare system, reinforcing its strategic position as both the second-largest market and a key innovation hub for Philips.

3. AstraZeneca Deepens Commitment to China with New $136 Million to Expand Production Capacity in Qingdao

AstraZeneca participated with the theme "Advancing with China for a Healthier Future." On the first day of the CIIE, AstraZeneca signed a cooperation agreement with the Qingdao High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, announcing an additional investment of approximately $136 million to expand the production capacity of its Qingdao supply base, further increasing the output of inhalation aerosols.

The same day, government representatives from AstraZeneca's three primary supply bases in China – Wuxi, Taizhou, and Qingdao – gathered at the booth to witness the significant progress in their low-carbon transition. Currently, the Wuxi base has achieved 100% renewable energy usage, the Taizhou base has reduced carbon emissions by 97.5% compared to the 2015 baseline, and the under-construction Qingdao base is expected to achieve near-zero carbon operations after commissioning. AstraZeneca also exhibited for the first time at this CIIE two innovative oncology drugs approved in China this year: Truqap® (capivasertib) and Datroway® (datopotamab deruxtecan).
