On August 16, Immunofoco announced that its self-developed next-generation autologous CAR-T product IMC008, based on the company's SNR technology platform, has received orphan drug designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of gastric cancer patients.

Immunofoco's self-developed SNR technology platform is specifically designed to overcome tumor heterogeneity, contributing to a breakthrough in solid tumor treatment. The Orphan Drug Designation highlights the significant potential of IMC008 in the field of gastric cancer treatment, offering new hope for patients with gastric cancer.

IMC008 is a next-generation autologous CAR-T product developed based on the Synthetic Natural Killer Receptor (SNR) technology platform. Tumor antigen heterogeneity has always been one of the key factors limiting the therapeutic efficacy of CAR-T in solid tumors. The SNR platform, through dual recognition and functional enhancement mechanisms, not only targets specific antigens but also broadens the antigen recognition range of CAR-T cells via SNR receptors, effectively addressing the challenges posed by tumor antigen heterogeneity. Additionally, the SNR signal synergizes with the CAR signal, further enhancing the proportion of memory T cells in CAR-T cells, improving their expansion and tumor infiltration in animal models, and strengthening their ability to eliminate antigen-heterogeneous tumor tissues.
