News on August 22: Pfizer, Inc. announced that ELREXFIO™ (elranatamab-bcmm) has received accelerated approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM) who have received at least four prior lines of therapy, including proteasome inhibitors, immunomodulatory agents, and anti-CD38 monoclonal antibodies. ELREXFIO is a subcutaneously injected bispecific antibody (BsAb) targeting B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD3. It binds to BCMA on myeloma cells and CD3 on T cells, bringing them together and activating T cells to kill myeloma cells.
