Edison Pharmaceuticals and Napeptide Announce Strategic Collaboration to Advance Development of Small Nucleic Acid Therapeutics for Cardiovascular Diseases

Today, EOC Pharma Group (hereinafter referred to as "EOC") and Nanopeptide (Qingdao) Biotechnology Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NPD") jointly announced: Both parties have reached a strategic cooperation agreement and will conduct in-depth cooperation in the research and development of small nucleic acid drugs in the cardiovascular field. Based on the agreement, NPD exclusively authorizes EOC to develop, manufacture, and commercialize two small interfering RNA (siRNA) drugs targeting ANGPTL3 and Lp(a) in Greater China and Southeast Asia. EOC will pay NPD an upfront payment, milestone payments, and royalties on future product sales.

Currently, as a representative of the third wave of biomedicine, small nucleic acid drugs have entered a period of rapid global development. Small nucleic acid drugs are significantly different from traditional therapies due to their strong target specificity, long-lasting pharmacological effects, low dosing frequency, and high safety.
