Preclinical studies have found that MDR-001 demonstrated excellent in vivo and in vitro efficacy and drug-like properties, including significantly improved PK and safety window. Meanwhile, in early-stage diabetic and obese monkey models, long-term administration of MDR-001 not only effectively reduced blood glucose and body weight but also restored HbA1c to the level of healthy monkeys. No rebound was observed during the recovery period after discontinuation, suggesting that the drug may help repair damaged islet cells and restore islet function, showing the potential to "cure" early-stage diabetes.
