Dr. Liu has over 20 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D and management at top multinational pharmaceutical companies, covering preclinical pharmacology/pharmacokinetics research, clinical pharmacology research, translational medicine, early clinical development, and medical affairs. He has extensive experience in the entire lifecycle of drug development, regulatory communications, cross-border pharmaceutical R&D, and technology licensing transactions. Additionally, he has several years of experience as a clinical doctor in hepatobiliary surgery at a well-known tertiary hospital in China. He is proficient in multiple disease areas and has made significant contributions to the successful development and market entry of numerous drugs in multiple countries. He has published more than 50 original research articles, reviews, and book chapters. Since 2020, he has been serving the American Society for Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics.（ASCPT）Clinical and Translational Science（CTS）Editorial Board Members.

Dr. Liu is a Clinical Medicine Ph.D. from Tianjin Medical University, a Pharmaceutical Sciences Ph.D. from the University of Toronto in Canada, and a postdoctoral fellow at the Liver Center of the University of Alabama at Birmingham in the United States. From 2006 to 2019, he served as the DMPK Project Leader and Senior Clinical Pharmacology Scientist at Genentech, USA, leading preclinical translation, IND submissions, and early clinical development of products. Afterward, he successively served as the Head of Clinical Pharmacology and Executive Director at Zai Lab, and as Senior Vice President at Evive Biotech in the U.S., where he was fully responsible for global translational medicine, clinical pharmacology, early clinical development, and medical affairs, while also overseeing cross-border pharmaceutical licensing. Before joining the pharmaceutical research and development industry, Dr. Liu worked as a hepatobiliary surgeon at Tianjin Third Central Hospital while pursuing his Ph.D.
