Intelligent Finance APP learned that, according to the official website of the Chinese Drug Clinical Trial Registration and Information Disclosure Platform, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (BMY.US) and its subsidiary Celgene have launched an international multicenter Phase 3 clinical study of iberdomide capsules in China for newly diagnosed multiple myeloma. Public data shows that iberdomide is a protein degradation therapy targeting Ikaros/Aiolos (IKZF1/3), and it is also a molecular glue compound further optimized from thalidomide molecules.

According to the Bristol-Myers Squibb official website, iberdomide currently has two indications that have entered the Phase 3 clinical trial stage, targeting 2L+ treatment for multiple myeloma (MM) and maintenance therapy for newly diagnosed MM patients after autologous stem cell transplantation. In clinical trials treating heavily pretreated multiple myeloma patients, iberdomide in combination with other standard-of-care drugs for multiple myeloma has demonstrated promising anti-cancer activity.
